The small print
Who you are dealing with
House of Parameters is run by Jad Daoud, a sole trader in Lebanon. There is one person behind the courses, the scripts and this site, and the address below reaches him and nobody else.
Write to hello@houseofparameters.com, or call +961 76 154 784. These terms cover the use of this site and of anything bought or taught through it. Using the site means you accept them.
What is on sale today, and what is not
No payment is taken on this site. A workshop is booked by phone, and the price and how to pay are settled on the call. The waitlist takes an email address and nothing else, and joining it buys nothing and commits you to nothing.
When the recorded courses and the scripts open, Paddle will be the seller of record for every purchase: Paddle.com Market Limited takes the payment, issues the receipt, charges and remits any tax that is due, and handles the refund. The contract of sale for a purchase is with Paddle, and Paddle's own terms apply to it alongside these. The course and the files are ours, and everything below about what a licence gives you is between you and us.
What a licence gives you
A course or a script is bought once, by one person, and it stays yours. Nothing renews and nothing expires. There is no subscription on this site.
You may:
- watch the lessons and use the files for your own work, including work you are paid for
- keep whatever you build with them, with no claim from us on it
- use the definitions and scripts inside a practice on projects you are working on
You may not:
- share an account, a download link or a login with anybody else
- republish, resell or redistribute the lessons or the files, in whole or in part, paid or free
- teach from the material, or use it as course material of your own, without written permission
Access is for one person because the price is for one person. A studio that wants several seats should write and ask; that is a different arrangement and a reasonable one.
Access, and when it can be taken away
Signing in is by a link sent to your email address, so there is no password to lose. Access to a course is revoked in two cases only: the purchase is refunded, or the account is being shared. Nothing else takes it away, and a revoked account is told why.
Workshops
A seat is for one named person, on the dates and at the times published on the course page. Seats are limited, and the count on the page is the real one.
If a workshop cannot run, whether that is too few bookings, illness or anything else, you choose between a full refund and a seat on the next run. The refund policy says what happens when it is you who cannot make it.
Prices
Prices are in US dollars. The same course costs different amounts in different countries, deliberately, and the price you are shown is the price for the country you are buying from. Any tax is added at checkout by Paddle, and the receipt Paddle issues shows it.
What the material is, and what it is not
The courses teach Grasshopper, Rhino and Rhino.Inside.Revit for architectural and engineering practice. They are instruction, not advice on your project. A definition from a lesson is a method, not a result you can hand to a client unchecked, and nothing here is structural, code compliance, safety or legal advice.
You remain responsible for what you build and for checking it. That is not a disclaimer hiding a weak course; it is how any tool works.
Rhino, Grasshopper and Revit are not ours. They are not included in any price here, and you need your own licences to follow the lessons.
Availability
The recorded courses are being filmed. No date is promised for any of them, and nothing on this site should be read as a date. The waitlist hears first when one opens.
The site itself is served by Cloudflare and is normally up, but no uptime is promised, and lessons, files and prices can change.
Liability
Where the law allows a limit, ours is the amount you paid for the thing the claim is about. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under Lebanese law.
The law that applies
Lebanese law, and the courts of Beirut.
Changes
The date at the top of this page is the last time it changed. A change never applies backwards to a purchase already made: the terms you bought under are the terms that govern that purchase.
